What's Included

There aren't a lot of extra costs when you rent Les Amandiers. Included in the basic price are:

Linens -- Sheets, blankets, duvets, towels, and kitchen towels are included.

Gas Bottles -- The stove's burners run on bottled gas (the oven is electric), and there will always be an extra bottle on hand in the unlikely event that one runs out during your stay.

Telephone Use -- A telephone is available for local, toll-free, and emergency calls as well as all incoming calls. It is equipped with voice mail, and you can record your own customized message. If you like, we can program the phone to allow calls to any numbers, local or overseas, and bill you for your calls before you leave.

WiFi -- WiFi is available for e-mail and light internet browsing.

Rental Terms

1. The property called Les Amandiers, on the Chemin de la Faïence, 34800 Clermont l'Hérault, is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by the owners, Jennifer Griffith and James Felici.

2. The costs of the rental per week for 2014 are:
January 1 -- March 29, 495 euros
March 30-- June 28, 555 euros
June 29 -- August 30, 705 euros
August 31 -- November 14, 555 euros
November 15 -- December 31, 495 euros

The costs of the rental per week for 2015 are:
January 1 -- March 28, 495 euros
March 29-- June 27, 555 euros
June 28 -- August 29, 705 euros
August 30 -- November 14, 555 euros
November 15 -- December 31, 495 euros

3. Payments may be made in euros, British pounds, or U.S. dollars. To reserve the property, you should send a payment equal to one-third of the total rental price. (Travel insurance is always recommended, which should include trip-cancellation coverage.) The balance of the total price of the rental is due four weeks before the rental begins. If you cancel the reservation for any reason, and the owners are able to rent the house for the period that you had originally reserved, your payments will be refunded in full, less any expenses incurred for renting the property, such as last-minute advertising. If the owners are unable to rent the property for the period in question, the payments will not be refunded.

4. A security bond of 150 euros, £150, or $200US must be paid with the final balance in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents or the house not being left in an acceptably clean condition. However, the sum reserved shall not limit the client's liability to the owners. The owners will account for the security bond and refund it within two weeks of your departure from the house, after the house has been inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition.

5. If you are sending a bank draft in euros, it must be drawn on a French correspondent bank. Euro-denominated bank drafts drawn on non-French banks are liable to bank charges for which you will be responsible.

6. The rental period starts at 4:00 p.m. on the first Saturday and finishes at 10:00 a.m. on the final Saturday. The owners are not obliged to offer accommodation before the time stated and clients shall not be entitled to remain in the house after the time stated unless specific arrangements are made in writing with the owners.

7. The maximum number of people to reside in the property must not exceed eight unless the owners have given written permission.

8. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The owner reserves the right to retain part of the security bond to cover additional cleaning costs if the property is not left in an acceptably clean condition. The client agrees not to act in any way that would cause disturbance to residents in neighboring properties.

9. Under no circumstances shall the owners' liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.

How to Reserve Les Amandiers

Just phone or send a letter or e-mail to the numbers or addresses below asking about the dates you're interested in. Rental periods always start and end on a Saturday. If the dates you want are available, we can provisionally book your reservation immediately and hold it for a week, with the understanding that the booking will become binding as soon as we receive your deposit.
