You have two options for accommodations, your own private house or a small, picturesque hotel. The art instruction and touring program are the same in either case.
If you prefer to stay in a house, you'll be living in a four-bedroom country house called Les Amandiers situated on an acre of south-facing terraced hillside just next door to us. Built in the 1930s in the Mediterranean style, it has just been totally renovated and refurnished with a combination of period and contemporary furniture. You'll enjoy the privacy and independence of your own house, while having the benefit of your own guide and teacher during the day. You'll do your own cooking, shopping at both supermarkets and traditional open-air markets, with my help, of course. You'll have the evenings to yourself, to do more painting or simply to enjoy the tranquility and slow pace of rural life. Your schedule is entirely up to you.
The Hotel La Source is just across the valley, in the historic hamlet of Villeneuvette. Should you opt to stay at the hotel, you'll be dining in one of the region's finest restaurants. The hotel is small and intimate--only 15 rooms--and is set in a refurbished 17th-century estate. With a brook running through its wooded gardens, an outdoor cafe, tennis courts, and a swimming pool, it's a delightful vacation haven, nestled in a village of only 80 people. Villeneuvette is so lovely that it has become one of our favorite places to paint.
